2021 Elkader Community Awards Banquet brings record crowd

John and Doris Moyna received the Legacy Award for the Earthmoving Legacy Center.

Jennifer Cowsert received the Community Spirit Award.

David Beck accepted the Historic Preservation Award on behalf of the Elkader 175th Anniversary Committee.

New business owners recognized were John Finch (Meuser Lumber Manager), Bill Kuhse (Meuser Lumber), John and Doris Moyna (Earthmoving Legacy Center), Tom and Michelle Gifford (The Jude), Michael and Jade Beck (Gifford Insurance), Megan Glawe (Magic Touch LLC), Garret and Lila Hamilton (Highland Arms), Kimberly and Tyler Carlson (Deer Run Resort), Roger and Deb Schmidt (Twisted Alley 2), Stephanie Cunningham (Elkader PitStop), Joelle Davis (Emerald Grove Boutique), Sally Stendel (The Collective), Chelsea Hanson (TD’s Sports Bar & Grille) and Teri Ann Gregerson Marting (Inhale Exhale Pilates and The Collective)

Chelsea and Tyler Hanson, owners of TD's Sports Bar and Grille, were honored as Entertainment Hub of the Year.

Clayton County BEST representatives Haley Mueller, Aaron Reinhart and Jasmine Mueller accepted the Innovator Award.

The Legacy Award went to Michael and Jade Beck and Michelle and Tom Gifford.

Megan Glawe received the Life Can Be This Good Award.

Sally Stendel and Teri Ann Gregerson, representing The Collective, accepted the New Community Event Award. It recognized the First Friday Art Crawls.

Superior Interior Rehabilitation honors went to Lori Dettbarn, Caitlin Kuehl and Courtney Klocke from the Beauty Bar.

Roger and Deb Schmidt were awarded Unique Business Promotion.
