Concerts on the River are returning to Prairie du Chien on Thursday, June 15, in Lawler Park. Eight free concerts will be held, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Thursday night.
The first band to start out the summer will be 16 Strings and a Stick on June 15. They are a local group featuring a fiddle that will pull you right into moving with the music. Their performance will include country, Celtic, bluegrass, and Cajun music.
As part of the Jaycees Flea Market, the band Twist will be playing a variety of rock covers from the ‘80s and ‘90s on Saturday, June 17.
On June 22, The Electric Fire Hydrant Blues Band will be taking the stage. Members Dan and Shirley Harwood, Cheryl McCune, Don Hand and Mike McCoy will be performing oldies and bluegrass, along with a few surprises.
A new local band, Hard Times, is set to play some great classic and contemporary music June 29.
Twist will play once again on the evening of July 6.
