On Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 4:04 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a semi versus car accident in Marietta Township on Highway 60 approximately 1/2 mile east of Highway 61.
A westbound 2016 Nissan owned by Jane Yahn of rural Boscobel, and operated by Brian K. Yahn, 46, rural Boscobel, was stopped in traffic, waiting for oncoming traffic so he could complete a left turn into a wayside.
A westbound 2012 Kenworth semi owned and operated by Michael L. Oberbroeckling, 63, Garnavillo, pulling an empty 2008 tanker owned by Tim Neubauer Trucking of Sparta, rear-ended the Yahn vehicle.
The impact shoved the Yahn vehicle approximately 270 feet until it came to rest against a tree.
