Five MFL MarMac softball players have earned Upper Iowa all-conference honors. Lauren Haberichter and Jordan Schubert were each named to the first team and Keri Picha to the second team, while Brinan Berger and Abby Schellhorn picked up honorable mention recognition.

Haberichter, a sophomore, was the Bulldogs’ top pitcher. Over 73.2 innings, she had a record of 10-4—the second best win total in the conference—and a 3.71 ERA, which put her fourth in the Upper Iowa. Opponents were held to a .232 average and struck out 93 times.

Schubert was the top offensive threat for MFL MarMac. In 59 at bats in the lead-off slot, the senior outfielder had a .492 batting average, the fifth-best mark in the conference. She racked up a team-high 29 hits, including five doubles and four triples, the latter of which tied her for the top spot in the Upper Iowa. Schubert was second best in the conference with 42 total bases, and was one of the team’s top stolen base threats, going a perfect 10-10, and scored 19 runs.

The Bulldogs’ third baseman, Picha had a .467 average over 45 at bats. Her 21 hits were the second-best total on the team, and she had the most RBIs, with 13. Picha also scored 20 times and stole five bases.

Berger hit .333 in 51 at bats. The senior accumulated 17 hits, stole 10 bases and had the most runs scored on the team, with 23. Defensively, the shortstop had a .934 fielding percentage, which was one of MFL MarMac’s best.

Schellhorn, a sophomore second baseman, hit .400 in 45 at bats, and had 18 hits, including five doubles and two triples. She also walked a team-high 12 times. Schellhorn drove in 11 runs, which was tied for second most on the team, stole nine bases and scored 22 times, which was also second most for the Bulldogs.
