40th annual Carriage Classic postponed to 2021
Due to the global pandemic and restrictions on gatherings and festivals, the organizing committee of the Villa Louis Carriage Classic has decided to postpone its 40th Annual classic to Sept. 10-12, 2021.
“This was an extremely difficult decision as much time and effort has already gone into preparing for a fantastic year of competitive carriage-driving here in Wisconsin,” said Mike Rider, of the Villa Louis Carriage Classic Foundation. “We are tremendously sad to not share our event this September; however, we have weighed all the options and felt this decision was the best of the bad situation.”
Given the gathering restrictions placed upon the Villa Louis venues by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin and the recommendations of the Crawford County Public Health Department, it was determined that, to produce a quality driving event was just not feasible in 2020.
The management team and the officials have all agreed to return in 2021.
“I also want to thank our loyal supporters who have contributed to the past 39 years of slow and steady growth for this event,” Rider said.
