Dairy breakfast won’t happen in Crawford County
The 2020 Crawford County Dairy Breakfast, usually set for the first Saturday in June, has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns, according to a social media announcement from the county dairy promotion committee.
The committee thanked the Alan and Melissa Manning family for stepping up to host this year, and it announced the 2021 breakfast would be tentatively held June 5.
Traditionally, the breakfast welcomes up to 3,000 guests to a Crawford County dairy farm or facility.
“Although our signature breakfast is canceled because of COVID-19, farmers will continue working every day to provide nutritious dairy products,” said a statement on the Crawford County Dairy Promoters’ Facebook page. “We ask that you still celebrate June Dairy Month with us by sharing milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream, custard or whatever your favorite product may be with family, friends and community members.
