Driver arrested for alleged 7th OWI
Suspicious driving in Woodman last Wednesday night resulted in a seventh OWI charge against a Wisconsin man.
On April 29, at about 6:45 p.m., two Grant County Sheriff’s Department deputies observed a vehicle traveling on County C that did not appear to be operating properly. A registration check showed the owner was suspended in Wisconsin. The driver, Edward Lund, 59, of Janesville, was found to be intoxicated. He refused to exit his vehicle and attempted to drive away. He also resisted arrest, and was ultimately taken into custody.
Lund has six prior OWI offenses, and one OWI pending from Rock County, according to the sheriff’s report. Additional charges include resisting arrest of felony bail jumping.
