Cheryl A. Hromadka, 62, of Fennimore, passed away on Sunday evening, April 5, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on March 1, 1958, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Eileen (Schumacher) Ritter. Cheryl was united in marriage to Joseph Hromadka on Aug. 17, 1983, in Lancaster.

Cheryl loved being a devoted wife and mother to her family. She enjoyed raising her family and being there for her children. Cheryl liked having her family outside, going for walks, bike rides and sitting by a fire. Continuing her love for children, Cheryl was employed at Jenny’s Beary Special Daycare in Fennimore and also loved being there for her grandchildren whenever needed. Cheryl was always there to support all her grandchildren through their endeavors. She liked to do crafts, paintings, sewing, puzzles, and was a great cook. She also loved to go camping and spend the day fishing. Cheryl will be remembered for being a wonderful person with a deep devotion to her family and a dear friend one could rely on.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband, Joe of Fennimore; two sons, Billy Hromadka of Fennimore, and Travis (Michelle) Hromadka of Platteville; five grandchildren, Brittany McCollough, Drew, Noah, Owen, and Aubree Hromadka; mother, Eileen Blum of Lancaster; mother-in-law, Therese Hromadka of Patch Grove, a very dear friend and her family, Monica Fritz of Fennimore; and her children, Chad (Becky) Fritz and Adam Fritz; along with her five siblings, and seven brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Ritter; and her father-in-law, Elmer Hromadka.

Following the wishes of Cheryl, there will be no formal memorial services held. In her memory, she requested you spend time and adore your family and get out and enjoy the outdoors.
