Thomas H. Richter, 76, of Fennimore, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning March 27, 2020, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. 

He was born on Dec. 17, 1943, in Prairie du Chien, the son of Elgie and Lucille (Crubel) Richter. 

Tom was united in marriage to Sharon Bierman on Aug. 3, 1963, in Cassville. He enjoyed the outdoors, sailing and target shooting. 

Tom is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Fennimore; three sons, Tracy (Julie) Richter of Granger, Ind., Daniel Richter of Stoughton, and Tim Richter of Middleton; six grandchildren, Mariah, Josh, Raquel, Abigail, Cayla and Charlotte; a brother, Roger (Lorraine) Richter of Bloomington; and a sister, Diane Grippe of Florida.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Elgie and Lucille Richter.

No formal memorial services will be held at this time, with burial in the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore to be announced at a later date.
