The River Ridge girls fine basketball season came to an end in a Division 5 sectional final Saturday afternoon at La Crosse Central.

Top seeded Bangor (25-1) defeated top seeded River Ridge 62-54 to advance to state.

The regional champion Lady Timberwolves ended their season with a 24-3 season record.

River Ridge had reached the sectional final be beating second seeded Wauzeka-Steuben 62-37 in the sectional semifinal Thursday night in Belmont.

Regional champion Wauzeka-Steuben finished their outstanding season with a 21-5 record.
