Ronald Alvin Bahls, 70, of Garnavillo, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at Scenic Acres in Saint Olaf.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo.

Ronald was born on Jan. 19, 1949, the son of Alvin and LaVonne (Geuder) Bahls. 

Ronald was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo and attended Central Community School in Elkader where he graduated with the class of 1968. After graduation Ron farmed with his father and later he farmed with his brother Richard till 2000 when he moved to Garnavillo with his parents. After retiring Ron worked part time with Wikner Farms & The Hog Buying Station. He resided at Scenic Acres for the past sixyears. 

Ron is survived by his brother, Richard (Karon) Bahls of Elkader; sister, Rosemary (Leonard) Ohrt of Garnavillo; nephews, Douglas (Jennifer) Bahls of Coal Valley, Ill., Michael (friend Samantha Gerner) of Edgewood, Gregory (Jessica) Bahls of Manchester and Steven (Lori) Ohrt of Cedar Rapids; one niece, Jill Ohrt of Garnavillo; five great-nieces; five great-nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
