Traffic stop results in multiple operating and drug charges for 2 men
On Thursday, Jan. 2, at approximately 6:41 p.m., the Prairie du Chien Police Department K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Cadillac for a traffic violation on the 200 block of North Beaumont Road. During the course of the traffic stop, suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an unknown white powdery substance was located from an occupant that was in the vehicle.
The driver, Charles Tewes, 39, of Milford, Iowa, was cited for operating without a valid license and having so insurance, according to authorities. The other occupant, Brandon C. Genz, 35, of McGregor, Iowa, was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail. Genz is being charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of imitation of a controlled substance.
