The Prairie du Chien Police Department has concluded multiple drug investigations with the arrests of six suspects. Over the course of the last 10 months, the department conducted its investigations with cooperation frin the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigations. The results, according to a department news release, include arrests and requested charges for the following individuals:

Raymond McCullick, 31, of Prairie du Chien, seven counts of delivery of methamphetamine

Thomas Wiemerslage Jr., 29, of Prairie du Chien, five counts of delivery of methamphetamine

Kristian Tesar, 25, of Prairie du Chien, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine

Christian Weber, 28, of Prairie du Chien, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine

Jamie Holtet, 34, of La Crosse, delivery of methamphetamine

Charles Slaght, 40, of Boscobel, delivery of methamphetamine

Wiemerslage was arrested on Dec. 23, 2019, after a Prairie du Chien police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle he was driving. Wiemerslage refused to stop for the officer, initiating a pursuit that ended with a crash in Marquette, Iowa. Wiemerslage was injured as a result of the crash and flown by Medlink to a La Crosse hospital. According to the news release, the police department attempted several times, through phone conversations with Wiemerslage, to get him to turn himself in and face the charges against him. He refused and the pursuit and crash were a result of his continued avoidance of police contact, the news release said.

In total, three-quarters of a pound of meth was seized during these investigations. For a common user, this total equates to about 5,972 doses of meth secured as evidence rather than being consumed, the news release stated.
