PdC man arrested on drug possession charges

A Prairie du Chien man is facing multiple drug possession charges after a verbal argument led officers to a residence yielding illegal substances and paraphernalia, according to the Prairie du Chien Police Department.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, at about 9:35 a.m. the police department was notified of a verbal altercation on the 900 block of South 1st Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the individuals involved. During the course of the investigation, officers identified a suspect to have a valid warrant through probation and parole. 

A subsequent search of a residence yielded methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana, authorities said.

The suspect was identified as Justin M. Imbus, 26, of Prairie du Chien. Imbus was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail for probation violations. 

According to the police department, he is being charged for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC and disorderly conduct. Further incidents from the state of Iowa are being investigated with potential additional charges.
