Bridgeport looking into renovation of Town Hall

The Bridgeport Town Hall might be getting a new roof and other improvements to make it more energy efficient.

The Bridgeport Town Board is looking into the possibility of renovating the Town Hall, located at 38446 Old School Lane, which is near Prairie du Chien Country Club.

During a recent Town Board meeting, it was noted that the town would like to keep the cost around $40,000 if they decide to renovate.

Town Clerk, Linda Smrcina, said the plans are in the very preliminary stages. She said the town is looking into insulating, residing and a new roof in order to make the building more efficient for heating, cooling and lighting.

There will not be a change in the foot print of the building, which is under 25,000 cubic feet, so no state approval is needed.
