Linda L. Schilter, 75, of Bagley, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Orchard Manor Care Center in Lancaster. 

She was born on Sept. 1, 1944, in Lancaster, the daughter of Willard and Ada Caley. 

Linda married Albert Schilter on Sept. 12, 1980, at the Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1995. 

Linda worked as a CNA at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Bagley Women’s American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and “God’s little creatures.” 

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Krueger; her brother, Richard (Karen) Caley; her sisters, Lila Funk and Anita Caley; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Roger, Roy, Robert, Russell; and a sister Verna Kasper.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, Pastor Lance Wetter officiating, with burial in the Wauzeka Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m., where there will be a Women’s American Legion Auxiliary tribute at 6:45 p.m. Friends may also call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
