The Prairie du Chien volleyball team traveled to Seneca on Saturday, Sept. 14 to compete in an eight-team tournament.

The girls started the day off against Shullsburg. Shullsburg took the first set, but the Hawks rallied back to take the second set. In the third and deciding set, Shullsburg jumped out to an early lead due to errors and the girls couldn’t fight their way back. Shullsburg won 2-1.

Then the girls beat De Soto and Ithaca to place second in their pool. Next, in the third and fourth place match versus Cassville, the Hawks dominated the first set 25-14, but Cassville was able to take the momentum early in the second set and the girls never could get it back. Cassville won the second and third set to take third place. The Hawks finished fourth. Underclassmen Allison Allbee, Nicole Rickleff and Makenna Forde played very well this weekend.
