An area man was uninjured but ruined his truck on Friday, May 17, in Glen Haven Township, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Department.

At about 6:15 a.m., Larry Osterhaus, 66, of Glen Haven, was driving his 2013 Chevy truck west on Squirrel Hollow Road. He swerved to avoid hitting two deer in the road and, as a result, drove into a steep ditch, where the truck came to rest on its top. Osterhaus wasn’t injured but his truck was a total loss, according to authorities. No charges were filed.

Assisting at the scene were Glen Haven Fire and B&M’s Towing.
