Hubanks, O’Kane retain Prairie du Chien School Board seats

Incumbents Cassie Hubanks and Lynn O’Kane have kept their seats on the Prairie du Chien School Board following the spring election on April 2.

Hubanks had 700 total votes. O’Kane garnered 645 and challenger and former board member Duane Rogers got 569.

The top two vote getters each won three-year terms for the two available seats on the school board.

There was a scattering of two votes and there were 218 undervotes, which are votes in which the voter only voted for one candidate even though there were two seats up for election. There were 2,134 total votes.

Hubanks won in the city of Prairie du Chien with 415 votes. O’Kane had 378 in the city of Prairie du Chien and Rogers had 337. There were 1,350 total votes in the city of Prairie du Chien, including the aforementioned 2 scattered votes and 218 undervotes.

The results are unofficial and a canvassing of votes will take place on Thursday, April 4.
