Men cited, though no injuries following 2-vehicle collision
On Thursday, Feb. 28, at 7:17 a.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a two-vehicle accident on State Highway 131 at the intersection of County Road S in Haney Township, with road blockage.
Orlan J. Wallin Jr., 70, Blue River, was pulling out from the stop sign at the intersection of County S and State Highway 131 headed westbound in a 1996 Mazda truck. The Wallin vehicle was struck by a northbound vehicle operated by Josh P. Wilson, 34, Wauzeka, who was operating a 2007 Chevy Silverado truck. The Wilson vehicle continued off the left side of the roadway, struck a county highway sign and came to rest. The Wallin vehicle spun around in the roadway from the impact and came to rest facing eastbound on the roadway.
Wallin and Wilson both claimed no injuries from the accident.
Wallin was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign.
Wilson was issued a citation for no proof of insurance in the vehicle.
Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
