Jeremy Lee Dahl, 47, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Oak Grove, Minn., passed away on Thursday Jan. 24, 2019.

Honoring Jeremy’s wishes he will be cremated.

A time to celebrate, share and remember the life of Jeremy was held on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Another gathering will be held in Andover, Minn., on Feb. 16, at Bunker Hills Activity Center from 2-5 p.m. and then a Celebration of Life is also planned for Saturday, June 1, in Aplington.

Jeremy was born May 31, 1971, in Independence to Margaret “Maggie” (Woodward) and Roland ”Roscoe” Dahl. He graduated from Anoka High School in Anoka, Minn., in 1989. His career included 20 years of construction, co-owning a siding business and most recently working with his dad and brother at Roscoe Painting.

Jeremy’s family includes his children, Danielle (George), Alexis (Ricky), Dylan and Laylah; grandchildren, Braxton, Aubriella and Rylen, all from Minnesota; mother, Maggie (Clark) Collins of Guttenberg; father, Roscoe (Janet); brother, Eric (Marie); step-brothers, Todd Shedeck (Kelly), and Aaron Beltz (Shae) all of Cedar Rapids; grandfathers, Ralph Woodward of Oelwein, Robert Dahl of Vinton; grandmother, Emelia Jacobson of Urbana; aunts, Pamm (Doug) Geuder of Volga, Deanna (J.R.) Underwoood of Aplington, Linda Lambert and Jean Woodward, both of Waterloo, Sharon Loomis (Jim) of Fairfax, and Julie Woodward of Littleton; uncles, Bobby of Afton, Don (Deanna) of Marion, Jim of Urbana, Wesley (Bonnie) of Jesup, Brian (Phylls) Woodward of Oelwein; several cousins; his former wife, Jill of Oak Grove, Minn. and stepfather, Glenn Behrends of Somerville, Ala.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bea Johansen; aunt, Suzi Woodward; and uncles, Mark and Mike Woodward. 

Jeremy’s favorite activities were spending time with his family, attending their sporting events and activities. Hhe was very proud of them; they were the joy of his life. Jeremy was an avid sports fan and diehard Vikings fan and really enjoyed ice fishing.

Jeremy was a wonderful, fun-loving father, son, brother, and friend, with a gentle soul and kind heart. He touched the lives of many and will be missed.
