Caroline Gann Keller, 72, of Lake Placid, Fla., passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 28, 2019, with her family surrounding her. She bravely fought breast cancer in 2007, lung cancer in 2015 and most recently stage IV breast cancer.

Carol was born Oct. 9, 1947, in Pahokee, Fla., to parents John and Annie George Gann. She grew up in Clewiston, Fla., and graduated from Clewiston High School in 1964.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Brad Keller, and her wonderful children, Sophia (Craig) VanGorder, Victoria (Cindy) Hanna, Molly Shaw, Krista (Joe) Brakke and Annie Keller; six beloved grandchildren, Sydney, Nolan, Grace, Calvin, Joel and Isaac. She is also survived by her two sisters, Sandra (James) Ingram and Rebecca (Bill) Young; and her brother Dennis (Nell) Gann; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Carol was a devoted pastor’s wife, mother and friend. She and her husband pastored Cornerstone Church in Prairie du Chien from 1988-2005 and also pastored in Oklahoma and most recently in Vermont. Brad and Carol retired to Florida. Her love for others was evident during those years in Prairie du Chien, where they fostered 12 children, one of which was adopted; had two foreign exchange students live with them, and had many youth look up to her as a spiritual parent. Her smile was infectious and her sense of humor was her trademark of a life that was characteristic of being a committed follower of Jesus.

There was a visitation and celebration of life service on Feb. 2, at First Baptist Church of Lake Placid, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Good Shepard Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
