Approximately 60 people were in attendance at the annual dinner meeting of the Guttenberg Chamber of Commerce on Monday evening, Jan. 21, at Reed's Steakhouse and Grill in Guttenberg.

Following a social hour and meal, Chamber Director Mandy Ludovissy introduced current board members in attendance: Kevin Hennessey, Patty Schwarz, Dave Brown, Brandon Friedlein, Austin Finch, Dan Parker, and Sadie Hefel.

Friedlein, Hefel and Finch are leaving the board, and the following were elected to fill their positions: Linda Ludovissy, Michelle Geuder and Todd Priske.

The Chamber director opened the program with a welcome and gave a presentation on the Chamber's activities during the past year, including Farmers Market, Stars and Stripes, Celebrate Guttenberg, the "Best of Guttenberg" survey, GermanFest and Business After Five.

She reviewed advertising and marketing plans, including partnerships and projects with other agencies. Ludovissy announced that Eagle Watch has been discountinued for this year. New for 2019 will be the "Relay of Voices" that will stop in Guttenberg this summer. Also in the works are plans to apply for a grant from Iowa Great Places.

The director reminded local businesses to communicate with the Chamber. "If you have an activity, an idea or news, please call," she said. "We want to hear from you."

The program concluded with attendees introducing themselves and telling about their business history, services and other items of interest.
