Rita Alice Eulberg, 80, of Garnavillo, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at Guttenberg Care Center.

Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 21, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garnavillo, conducted by Marvin Bries.

Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Garnavillo.

Rita was born on Sept. 5, 1938, in Waukon, the daughter of Leo and Sarah Alice (Brady) Henry.

Rita graduated from the Waukon High School and later received her teaching degree from the Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls. On Aug. 12, 1961, Rita was united in marriage with Philip Eulberg at St. Mary’s Lycurgus Church. Together this union blessed them with four children. Over the years, Rita taught elementary school in Monona, made a home for her husband and children and worked as an insurance agent. She enjoyed gardening and reading, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved watching college basketball March Madness. She served on the board of directors for the Garnavillo Library and helped with the Lion’s chicken dinner on the 4th of July each year. 

Rita will be forever loved and cherished by her four children, Virginia Eulberg of Boyden, Gregory (Barbara) Eulberg of Marion, Sally Eulberg of Dubuque and Nancy (Steven) Williams of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren, Andy Eulberg, Emily (Jesse) Elds, Nolan Williams and Gavin Williams; siblings, Bernice Tucker of Vancouver, Wash., Clem (Virginia) Henry of Cedar Rapids, Dorothy (Richard) Egan of Portland, Ore., Regina Henry of Evanston, Ill., Ralph Henry of Waukon and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Evelyn Theresa Henry, Anna May Henry, Mark, Patrick and Donald Henry.
