Terry L. Boebel, 71, of Prairie du Chien passed away unexpectedly June 26, at her home.

She was born March 5, 1947, in Darlington, the daughter of Vernon and Bernilda (Quamme) Roth. She grew up near Mt. Zion, and graduated from Boscobel High School. Over the years, she worked at the Boscobel bank, was a hairdresser/salon owner/instructor, sold insurance, had a bed and breakfast, did hotel reception and cooked and baked whatever you requested. She was retired, but was active keeping up with her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put everyone else first. Terry was an excellent cook and a talented baker who loved to entertain. “Garage saling” and treasure hunting were joyful passions for her.

She is survived by her daughters Tammie (Darren) Katzung, of Bagley, and Traci (Steve) Murphy, of Lake Mills; grandchildren Kara and Meg Katzung, Kellen (Sarah), Cooper and Marli Murphy; siblings Howard (Karen) Roth, of Wauzeka, Hollis (Carol) Roth, of Soldiers Grove, Millie (Lonnie) Schell and TJ (Larry) Meehan, of Boscobel, Ruth Ann DuVal, of Madison; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 17, at Cornerstone Foursquare Church, 38398 U.S. Highway 18, Prairie du Chien, with a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. A brief service will begin at 6 and a special dessert or two will follow. Garrity Funeral Home is assisting the family.
