Florence Kilburg, 75, of Wauzeka, passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 8. 

 

She was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Eastman, the daughter of Wencil and Leona (Picha) Swatek. She married Michael Kilburg on Sept. 11, 1965, at St. Wenceslaus Church in Eastman. Together they farmed most of their lives in the Eastman/Wauzeka area.Florence worked at the Opportunity Center for many years and was an active member of St. Wenceslaus Parish where she taught CCD. She loved baking and canning. Mike preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2011. 

 

She is survived by her daughters Karen (Robert) Fisher, of Seneca, Sharon (Tom) Martin, of Wauzeka, and Julie (Kenneth) Moret, of Prairie du Chien; her sons Michael Jr. (Janet), of Wauzeka, Kevin (Kelly), of Prairie du Chien, and Bobby (Jen) of Edgerton; her brothers John (Sheila) Swatek, of Prairie du Chien, Roger (Belinda) Swatek, of Wauzeka; her sisters Evelyn Waller, of Prairie du Chien, Rose (Bud) Krachey, of Eastman, and Theresa Sander, of Boscobel; sister-in-law Kathleen Swatek, of Eastman; her grandchildren, Alissa (Matt) Mullikin, Trevor, Lexis and Kristin Fisher, Taylor, Isaac and Brooke Moret, Lucas and Tanner Kilburg, Gabe, Zach, Nate, Jacob and Joshua Martin, Avery, Oaklyn and Porter Kilburg; along with her great grandchildren, Nolan Reed, Olivia and Josephine Mullikin. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers Albert, Willard and Wencil Swatek Jr.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m., at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, Reverends Rajan Anandan and Thomas Huff officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, May 11, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and at the church on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
