Passed out man busted for meth possession
On May 8, the Crawford County K-9 Unit was on patrol in Wauzeka Township along Highway 60 when the deputy observed a 1996 Chevrolet S10 parked in the Indian Mound Park Wayside.
A lone man was observed sitting in the driver’s seat slumped over. The deputy awoke the man, identified as Ryan Leffler, 53, Wauzeka. Leffler was confused on what day it was and where he had come from. A lieutenant arrived on scene and they discovered Leffler had been passed out for approximately 5 hours. Leffler displayed signs of impairment and was found to have a bottle of urine hidden in his crotch area.
A search of Leffler’s vehicle yielded several individually packaged baggies of crystal methamphetamine, smoking devices, a digital scale and several empty plastic baggies. The deputy placed Leffler through an evaluation and subsequently placed Leffler under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a restricted controlled substance, eighth offense. Leffler was also arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a masking agent. Leffler is also on active probation through the state of Wisconsin.
