Car goes down embankment, through a fence and hits tree

On Feb. 17 at 6:33 p.m., the Crawford County Communications Center received a report of a one-vehicle traffic crash on Shortcut Road, approximately one-eighth of a mile north of Highway 27 in the township of Seneca. 

Kylie L. Heisz, 17, Gays Mills, was operating a 2006 Ford Taurus northbound on Shortcut Road. Heisz lost control as she was attempting to negotiate a curve. The Heisz vehicle went over the embankment, through a fence and struck a tree with the driver’s side door before coming to rest. 

Heisz was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured. There were no citations issued.
