Nancy L. Patzner, 79, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Care and Rehab Center in Boscobel, following an extended illness. 

 

She was born May 24, 1938, in Lancaster, the daughter of Joseph and Loretta (Leeser) Argus. Nancy owned and operated the Flair Beauty Salon in Prairie du Chien for over 30 years until her retirement in 2002. She loved to bake and enjoyed arts, crafts and photography. She was an active member of St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. 

 

She is survived by her sons, Randy, of Marquette, Iowa, and Darren of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; her daughters, Dayna Patzner, of Nashville, Tenn., and Rhonda (Matt) Stubbe, of Prairie du Chien; her sisters, Judi (Patrick) Sullivan, of Dubuque, Iowa, JoAnne McGuire, of Peosta, Iowa, Charlene (Dean) Stephens, of Verona, and Ruthie Argus, of Dubuque, Iowa; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece Marti Nelson; and a brother-in-law, Robert McGuire.

 

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 11 a.m., at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish in Prairie du Chien, Rev. James Weighner officiated. Interment will be later in the St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Tennyson. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
