Donald Clarence Geuder, 89, of Guttenberg, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Graveside services were Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Guttenberg City Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Penny Hansel.

Don was born on June 2, 1928, the son of Jack and Ilo (Walke) Geuder.

Don received his education locally and for many years, he worked as an operating engineer in the construction industry. He married Mary Jean Smith and they were later blessed with two sons, Michael and Tom. Don attended school locally, enlisted in the service thereafter, and was fortunate enough to serve with locals Irish Degnan, Willie Parker, Pete Smock (brother-in-law), and Jim McGuire. He worked in the field of construction for the most part, and belonged to the Operating Engineers Local 234 from 1964-1990. After retirement he started a lawn mowing business and later worked at the local carwash business.

He was a well-versed handyman, enjoyed boating, and getaways at owned locations in Frenchtown and North Buena Vista. Don enjoyed hanging out with his circle of friends, may it be at the car wash with Irv, Daryl and Bruce, or at the Ferguson's garage with many other friends and neighbors. He had a very special bond with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a positive role in his family's lives!

Don will be forever loved and cherished by his son, Michael (Lori) Geuder; daughter-in-law, Julie Geuder; grandchildren, Todd, Holly, Jessica, Travis, Tim, Trent and Jade; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jackie (Betty) Geuder and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 2005; son, Tom in 2011; siblings, Merlin Geuder, Douglas Geuder Sr. and Jaleen Fassbinder.
