Nicholas A. “Toby” Toberman, 27, of Lawler, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, at his home in Lawler, Iowa. 

 

Nicholas Arthur, the son of Scott and Wanda (Monroe) Toberman was born Oct. 31, 1990, at Madison Meriter Hospital in Madison. He attended elementary school in Prairie du Chien, middle school at South Winneshiek Schools in Calmar, Iowa, and he graduated from Turkey Valley High School in Jackson Junction, Iowa, with the Class of 2009.  Toby also attended NICC for Auto Tech.

 

Toby enjoyed playing Xbox; his cat, Cosmic, and his truck.  He loved shooting guns and spending time at the farm.  He adored his three nieces, Anthem, Lila and Emma, and enjoyed spending time with them.

 

Toby is survived by his parents, Scott and Wanda Toberman, of Lawler, Iowa; his siblings, Jill Quandahl, of Spillville, Iowa; Isaac Toberman, of New Hampton, Iowa; and Bridget Toberman, of Lawler, Iowa; his three nieces, Anthem, Lila and Emma Quandahl; his grandparents, Madonna Toberman, of Prairie du Chien; Mary Nicholson, of Prairie du Chien; and Phillip Nicholson, of Boscobel; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

Toby was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Toberman and Delford Monroe; and his cousin, Jason Teynor III.

 

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien. Rev. Kyle Svennangsen was the officiant. Interment was held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Prairie du Chien, following the funeral. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund in Nicholas’ name has been established. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Services, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family with arrangements.
