Margaret A. “Marge” Konichek
Margaret A. “Marge” Konichek, 72, of Eastman, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Heritage Manor in Elroy.
She was born March 12, 1945, in Eastman, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Sprosty) DuCharme. She married Harold Konichek on June 1, 1963, at St. Wenceslaus Church in Eastman.
He preceded her in death on April 25, 2013. Marge worked in food service for the Prairie du Chien School District and later for Advance Transformer in Boscobel for over 25 years. She and her husband enjoyed riding their Goldwing motorcycle.
She is survived by her children, Denise (Richard) Butler, of Boscobel, Doug (Susie), of Steuben, Karla (Bob) Rogers of LaValle, Lisa (Gary) Oswald, of Boscobel, Michelle Richardson, of La Crosse, and Gene (Jolene), of Shepherdsville, Ky.; her sisters, Theresa Ocenosak, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sr. Delores Claire DuCharme, of La Crosse, Monica Krachey, of Wauzeka, and Mary (Bob) Rose, of Rice Lake; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Clem.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Rev. Rajan Anandan officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.
