Linda Williams, 75, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at her home in Bella Vista, Ark.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 

Linda was born on Dec. 31, 1941, in Independence, the daughter of Eugene Melius and Geraldine Lessie Robertson Bates. She grew up in Buchanan County and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1960. On Nov. 22, 1963, she was united in marriage to Channing Hall in Cedar Rapids. In June 1991 she married Craig Williams in Guttenberg. They resided in Guttenberg and Phoenix, Ariz., before relocating to Bella Vista. 

Linda was employed for many years at Kann Imports in Guttenberg and held various administrative positions during her working career. She was an accomplished quilter and crafter and enjoyed gardening and propagating hostas. Linda’s love of music led her to sing in church choirs and to play numerous musical instruments including piano, auto harp and harmonica.

Linda is survived by her son, Douglas Channing (Tiffany) Hall of Shawnee, Kan.; grandson, Darren; granddaughter, Katie; three sisters and their husbands, Lee (Lloyd) Stimson of Strongsville, Ohio, Pamela (Ken) Clarke of Oceanside, Calif., and Debby (Roger) Fischer of Garnavillo; and her cat, Fancy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Murray and Micki Cline, and her brother, Jim Bates.
