Robert Livingston, 89, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

Visitation was Sunday, April 9, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Monday, April 10, at at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Shane Anderson.

Interment was at Guttenberg City Cemetery.

Bob was born on May 27, 1927, in Guttenberg, the son of Lorrell and Lela Livingston

Bob received his early education from a country school near Graham and later attended the Colesburg School.  He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy and received the Purple Heart.  Bob was united in marriage to Burnette Rodenberg on May 20, 1947, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg.  Years after Burnette’s passing, Bob married Judy Dixon on Feb. 15, 1974, in Guttenberg.  Sadly Judy passed away on Jan. 26, 1986.  In his later years, Bob found companionship with Susan Kuempel and enjoyed her company until she passed on Dec. 11, 2006.

During his life, Bob owned and operated his own saw mill and founded Livingston Lumber with his son, Ralph.   

Those left to cherish Bob’s memory are his three children, Ralph (Kay) Livingston, Glenda Livingston and Steve Livingston; four grandchildren, Gwyn Livingston, Michelle (Bryan) Fortino, Derrick (Megan Bockenstedt) Livingston and Amy (James) Everett; six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Everett, Jonathan Behnken, Giabella, Arianna and Emilia Fortino and Estelle Livingston. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two wives and one companion.

In lieu of flowers, Bob has requested memorials to benefit St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg, Guttenberg Municipal Hospital or Lock 10 Ducks Unlimited Chapter in Guttenberg.
