The Clayton County Dairy Banquet will be held on Friday, April 7, at Johnson’s Reception Hall in Elkader.

The banquet program includes the presentation of various awards including the county’s Distinguished Dairy Producer, Outstanding Young Dairy Producer, and Senior Dairy Producer awards.  Blue ribbon rosettes and plaques will be awarded to producers for a variety of herd and individual cow production levels. The Clayton County Dairy Princess, Little Miss Squirt and Junior Dairyman will be crowned. The meal begins  at 7 p.m. with the program scheduled for 8 p.m. 

The Clayton County Dairy Promotion Committee will host a retirement celebration for Chuck Shekleton immediately following the banquet program. Chuck is retiring from CRI Genex after 46 years of service to the dairy industry.
