$1,000 in meth seized from area man
Over $1,000 in methamphetamine was seized after a traffic stop conducted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department on Sunday, March 26, at about 7 p.m., at the wayside between the Highway 18 bridges from Prairie du Chien to Marquette, Iowa.
According to a press release sent by Chief Chad Abram, police stopped a 1990 Mercury Sable for a traffic violation, during which Kenneth Marketto, 50, of Bagley, was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Items seized included more than $1,000 in meth, meth drug paraphernalia, a scale and almost $600 in cash.
Abram said the driver of the vehicle, Bailee Usher, 20, of McGregor, Iowa, was cited and released following the traffic stop.
