Sharon A. Mezera
Sharon A. Mezera, 74, of Eastman, passed away Tuesday, March 21, at the Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua.
She was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Charm, the daughter of Donald and Zola (Ostrander) Becwar. She married Wenceslaus “Winnie” Mezera on Sept. 10, 1960, at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2007. Sharon worked at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, tending her flowers and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Wendy (Joe) Froiseth, of Viroqua, Angela (Douglas) DuCharme, of Eastman, and Tammy (Alan) Foley, of Seneca; her sons Randy (Laurel) Mezera, of La Crosse, and Rodney Mezera, of Eastman; her brother Gary (Judy) Becwar and sister Janice (Milo) Thornton, both of Eastman; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Wenceslaus and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family.
