School election is Tuesday, Feb. 7
Voters in the Clayton Ridge Community School District will go to the polls on Tuesday, Feb. 7, to vote on a public measure that would provide for a tax levy for physical plant and equipment purposes. Voters will be asked to authorize a 10-year levy representing an increase of 67¢ over the current PPEL.
Polling hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following sites:
•Precinct #1: Garnavillo Community Center in Garnavillo for voters residing in the townships of Clayton, Farmersburg, Read, Garnavillo and the cities of Garnavillo and Clayton.
•Precinct #2: Guttenberg Municipal Building in Guttenberg for voters residing in the townships of Jefferson, Millville, Mallory, Volga and the cities of Guttenberg and Osterdock.
•Precinct #3: Immaculate Conception parish hall in North Buena Vista for voters in the township and city of North Buena Vista.
Absentee ballots are available at the Clayton County Auditor's office in Elkader where voters may vote in person through 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3. For details on requesting an absentee ballot by mail, contact the Auditor's office at 245-1106.
