Charles Dennis Fish peacefully passed away in his home on Jan. 22.

 

Charles was born on Feb. 10, 1943, to Harry and Bernice (Kohl) Fish in Decatur, Ill. Chuck served in the U.S. Army Reserves while attending the University of Northern Iowa, where he graduated in 1969. On March 10, 1967, Chuck was married to Rebecca Roberts. Together they raised two children, Dennis Howard, and Kelly Jeanne. 

 

He was a teacher, coach, salesman, and small business owner. Chuck was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gladbrook, the American Legion, and the “Man Cave.” Most importantly, he was a loving and loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

 

Left to cherish Chuck’s memory are…his wife, Rebecca of 49 years, 10 months, 11 days, and 14 hours; his son, Dennis Fish, his wife Malinda, and their children Brittany, Brenden, Kohl, and Hannah; his daughter Kelly Fish Peterson and her husband Jon; his brother, Jim Fish, his wife Norma, and their family; half-sisters Michelle Hunter and Jan Russ; and a half-brother Lee Hunter and his wife Nancy.

 

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Bernice; and his grandparents Willis and Anna Kohl, and Aquilla and Esther Fish.
