Car slides into creek, man uninjured

A 1996 Mitsubishi, driven by Tyler George, 19, of Lynxville, slid off icy roads and into a creek off Highway 35 at County D in Crawford County mid-afternoon Tuesday, Jan. 10. According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, George was passing a car when he lost control and went into the creek, in 3 to 4 feet of water. He was able to exit the car on his own. George was taken to Crossing Rivers Health to warm up and be checked out, but he was uninjured in the accident. The car was a total loss.
