Janet M. Beinborn
Janet M. Beinborn, 79, of Bagley passed away Friday, Dec. 2, at her daughter’s home in McFarland, surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Wauzeka, the daughter of Charles and Agnes (Linder) Lathrop. Janet drove a school bus for many years for the Cuba City Schools and later for several years in the Prairie du Chien School District. She assisted in the operation of Bud’s Bar in Cuba City and later for the Branding Iron Saloon in Bridgeport. She also worked at Rayovac in Fennimore and for Prairie Industries.
She is survived by her children, Mary (DuWayne Swenson) Beinborn, of Sun Prairie, Karen (Darrel) Gilkes and Patricia (Tim) Wisch, both of Prairie du Chien, Sherry (Timm Smith) Clement, of McFarland, Larry (Jessy) Beinborn, of Cuba City, Wayne (Teena) Beinborn, of Prairie du Chien, and Casey Beinborn, of Honolulu, Hawaii; her brothers, Charles Lathrop, of La Crosse, and Jack (Carol) Lathrop, of Janesville; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Robert (Camilla) Lathrop and James (Nola) Lathrop.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be Saturday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 4911 Burma Rd., McFarland, WI 53558. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
