Huser Does Well at State
Prairie’s Huser
runs well at State
Amber Huser competed well on Saturday at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships in Wisconsin Rapids to finish in 26th place out of 152 girls competing in the Division II race.
She got out with the front pack and then settled into a nice steady pace. The entire boys’ and girls’ Prairie du Chien cross country teams traveled with Huser to Wisconsin Rapids to cheer her on.
Huser was happy with her race and said, “I have the most supportive team ever.”
While they are sad the season is over, the team has plans to continue running together. They are looking forward to next year’s season. All of this year’s runners are returning and some very promising eighth grade runners will join the team as freshmen.
