Mildred “Mikki” Kelly-Posten, age 82, of LaCrosse, formerly of Bloomington, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Brookdale Assisted Living in LaCrosse.  

Mildred was born on September 15, 1934, in St. Olaf, IA, the daughter of Alvin and Mabel (Hackert) Klinkenberg.  She graduated from St. Olaf School in 1951.  

Mildred married Lyle Posten in July 1966 at the Prairie du Chien United Methodist Church.  Lyle preceded her in death in 2006. She was united in married to Keith Kelly in 2008.

Mildred enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, and traveling across the country in the RV.

Mildred is survived by her three children, Monica (Ken) Hodgson, Pamela Posten, and Robert (Karla) Posten; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lyle Posten; second husband, Keith Kelly; her parents; and her siblings, Caroline Burns and Henry Klinkenberg.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home in Bloomington, with Reverend Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Union-Nagle Cemetery, Patch Grove Township. Friends called from 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
