Gemma K. “Jimmy” Wilcox age 73 of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Grant Regional Hospital in Lancaster. 

She was born December 22, 1942 in Prairie du Chien, WI the daughter of James and Belva (Gobin) Lenzendorf.  She married Carl Balk in 1961 and he preceded her in death in 1995.  She later married Leo Wilcox in 2001 and he preceded her in death in 2012.  Jimmy worked in several nursing facilities in Prairie du Chien and later, she and Carl owned and operated a bakery for several years in Bloomington, WI. 

She is survived by her daughter Donna (Joe) Schafer of Bagley, WI, her sons, William balk of Maryland and Kyle (Debbie) balk of Indianapolis, IN, her sisters, Joan Moore of Milton, WI and Marjene Leffler of Fennimore, WI, eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, an infant daughter Diane, her brother Rodney Lenzendorf and her sisters, Joyce Wilcox and Pastsy Lenzendorf.

A memorial visitation will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, WI.  A private family inurnment will be later in the Evergreen Cemetery in Prairie du Chien.
