Allen McCandless born in Ontario October 2, 1919, passed away in Toronto, Canada August 17, 2016, at Bethany Homes. He trusted Christ as his savior at 14 years of age. Allen lived in Garnavillo from 1992-2005. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He farmed in southwestern Ontario for many years.

He was survived by his six children: Murray (Shirley) of Sussex, New Brunswick, Tim (Betty) of Greene, IA, Esther (John) Kregel of Garnavillo, Jim (Daiva) of Hickory, NC, Mary (Dave) Zuidema of Midland Park, NJ and Rachel (Andrew) Ussher of Richmond Hill, Ontario.  He is also survived by one brother, Lyle of Ontario.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2000, daughter, Kezia Rhoda, and granddaughter, Olivia.

Funeral service was held in Langstaff Gospel Hall, Richmond Hill, Ontario, on August 20, 2016. Graveside services were held in Garnavillo August 24, 2016, taken by Dan Harvey.
