Wauzeka-Steuben hosts homecoming this week
It’s homecoming week in the Wauzeka-Steuben School District.
Activities essentially begin on Wednesday, Sept. 14 evening, with the powder puff football game. The freshmen-sophomore game starts at 6:30 p.m., and the junior-senior competition is at 7:15 p.m. A community bonfire will follow the games.
On Friday, Sept. 16, a pep rally will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Doll Gym. This includes skits, the athletic teams, cheers, the pep band, etc. At 4:30 p.m., the parade will be held in downtown Wauzeka, followed by tailgating at the football field at 5 p.m. The football game against Kickapoo-La Farge will start at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, the homecoming dance will take place in the Doll Gym from 8 to 11 p.m., with the grand march at 9 p.m.
