PdC police urge caution following string of thefts

Over the past few days the Prairie du Chien Police Department has taken multiple reports of thefts from vehicles around Prairie du Chien.

These thefts are taking place during the early morning hours and primarily involve unlocked vehicles. Items taken range from vehicle keys, to spare change to small electronics.

If you see suspicious people hanging around or entering vehicles please report the activity to the police department immediately.

Please lock your car doors, your garage entry doors and home doors. Also remove valuable electronics from your vehicles if possible.

Normally, these thefts begin during the spring and fade during the transition to summer. This is the first round of correlated thefts that have been reported this year.
