Ann V. Fulcher, 90, of Prairie du Chien passed away on Monday, July 25, at her home. 

She was born Sept. 23, 1925 in Rio, Wis. the daughter of Harold and Marie (Rod) Woods. She married Fred Moore in 1944 and had one daughter Marcia Ann. She preceded her in death in 1973. She later married Al Fulcher in 1961 and they had a son Mark Fulcher. Al preceded her in death in 1970. Ann worked at National Decorated Metals in Prairie du Chien for 20 years and later for Jeffer’s Black Angus for 22 years. After retirement she enjoyed working as a matron for the Crawford County Sheriff’s Dept. 

She is survived by her son Mark (Chelle); granddaughters, Angela (Ahmad) Tawil, Christine (Dan) Leudtke and Mallory Fulcher; a grandson Woody Fulcher; her great grandchildren, Ashley and Adam Tawil and Emily Rose Leudtke; dear friends, Jane (John Rybarczyk) Howe and Michael (Julie) Welsch. She was preceded in death by her daughter; her husbands and her loving companion George “Poncho” Welsch. Her greatest joy was her grand and great grandchildren who she always said “after losing her daughter, they gave her life.”

A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, July 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James Weighner officiating, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call on Thursday, July 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
