Softball awards held—

The MFL MarMac softball team held its year-end picnic July 16, at Gateway Park in Monona.

Special recognition was given to seniors Becca Harms, Jasmine Stocker, Mollie Ward and Chaun’te Drahn for their contributions to this year’s team.

Awards handed out were Newcomer of the Year to Jordan Schubert, the Hustle Award to Brenna Boland, Best Defensive Player to Drahn, Best Offensive Player to Harms and MVP to Harms.

Recognition was also given to Harms and Stocker for making second team all-conference, as well as to Ward and Drahn for honorable mention all-conference. In addition, Harms was named to the Class 2A Northeast District First Team, which head coach Jerald Kleve said is quite an honor, as it involved players from 25 schools.

Kleve said he’s appreciative of the parents and community for supporting the players this year.
