Otto Albert Becker, 87, of Nunnelly, Tenn., died peacefully at home on June 26, 2016.

Otto was born May 16, 1929, in Clayton to John W. and Sylvia Becker.

He moved to Michigan in 1948 and was an active member of the Operating Engineers #324 for 32 years. He also owned and operated Otto’s Market in Hazel Park, Mich.

Otto married Francis Rupene Clark in 1966 and moved to Tennessee in 1980. They had no children but had extended family there.

He is survived by Cathey Chilton and her children, Robert, Chris, and Joey Chilton, and their children and many family members of his wife.

He worked for Clark Container until he retired in 2010. He was involved in the construction of plants and the expansion of Clark facilities at Bates Crossing.

Otto enjoyed fishing and passed that love on to his children and grandchildren. Nothing pleased him more than to fish with his grandchildren. He was a gardener at heart and looked forward to planning and planting for the summer. He was friends with everyone and a good friend to many. He will be truly missed.

Otto is survived by his children, Susan (Douglas) McLeod of Royal Oak, Mich. and Dr. Steven Becker (Carol) of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, John Becker, Elizabeth McLeod, Patrick McLeod, Kristyn Blackard, Nathan Becker, Matthew Becker, Paul McLeod, Lindsay Asselin and Morgan Becker. He also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren.

Otto was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Donald and Chris Becker; sister, Vina Walke; son, John W. Becker; wife, Francis Rupene Clark, and Larry and Michael Chilton.
